One member of a pair or series of genes that occupy a specific position on a specific chromosome.
Allele is the name of one of the main characters from my writing project, currently known simply as Sycamore. Everything I write here is friends-only; you can, however, read a short excerpt that is posted publically. If you find yourself interested, leave me a comment, saying you would like to read the rest, and I will gladly add you to my friends list. Thank you for taking interest in what I have written! It is likely that I will sometimes post bits and pieces of writing in this journal that are not directly related to Sycamore, as well. Enjoy!

Sycamore (at least the first section of it) is entirely my creation, and any resemblence it carries to other stories, plots, characters, or events is completely coincidental and unintentional.
